Hi Everyone,
I found this week's very helpful. It was a lot of work, but I was proud of the outcome. I decided to use three of my older assignments and I found three new sources via Chapman University's online library. I have become very comfortable finding new articles for my research through out this class. Three articles that I used in my annotated bibliography were; Differences between Childrens Social Workers and Adults Social Workers written by Hamama, L., Social Work in a Digital Age: Ethical and Risk Management, written by Reamer Frederic, and last one was Counseling in Social Work in Aotearoa New Zealand: Social Workers' Perspectives and Practice, written by Staniforth Barbara. At this point I gathered enough information to fully answered my research question, however during my past three research path I came across few questions that are not very relatable to my research question but they triggered interest in me. My research project's target audience are people who are interested in the social work profession and I think that they will find my entire research study helpful.
Here’s my annotated bibliography
Is it worth the time, the effort and the money to pursue a social worker career?

Very interesting. I'm a psychology major but am minoring in Sociology. I find both fields extremely interesting. My question for you is; compared to the first week of class, has researching become easier for you? I know it has for me. I was deathly afraid of this class at first because I'm not a "writer/researcher", but I am totally confident now that I've learned and read some valuable information from this class. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteHi Tatevik,
ReplyDeleteI really found your annotated bibliography interesting, especially the article that you found about social workers dislike of working with older adults. I never thought of that type of social work. I always thought social workers were only used for low income or abused cases. I think you were very through with your research on this topic. I have a couple of friends who are social workers and they love their work. Mostly, they work with children. I never considered financial knowledge that important, however after reading your posts, it opened my eyes to the fact that a social worker needs to have a lot of resources to help those that have different needs. It seems like a field that requires a lot more than what people think. Good job!
